These prints of antique Maps of West Roxbury Massachusetts came from the 1899 Atlas of West Roxbury, West Roxbury, and Brighton as printed by L.J. Richards. The Atlas was published in 1899 but the individual maps are dated from 1895 to 1899.

West Roxbury is home to Allandale Farm, Calver Cemetery, Stony Brook Reservation, Robert C. Shaw School, Holyhood Cemetery, Gethsemane Cemetery, Brook Farm, Charles River, Martin Luther Orphans Home, Baker Street Cemetery. The Brook Farm was on the site of the Martin Luther Orphans Home. Brook Farm ( The Brook Farm Institute for Agriculture and Education) was founded by George and Sophia Ripley, and was occupied or visited by Theodore Parker, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaneil Hawthrone , Charles A. Dana, Horace Greeley.

Brook Farm is now part of the Massachusetts Division of Urban Parks and Recreation.
