Topographical Atlas of Massachusetts 1891 George Walker Massachusetts Atlas-1891 This historic Massachusetts Topographical Atlas is based upon the 1891 George Walker Atlas. George Walker Company was a leading publisher of ward, county and topographical maps. This Massachusetts Topographical Atlas used a very limited range of colors and name places so that the contour lines could be easily read. The major use of color on these maps is to highlight contour lines and water; and for this reason those maps that border on large bodies of water are in high demand. These high demand maps include Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Cape Cod and the North and South Shores, Boston and Bristol County. Of special interest to you, may be the three maps that show all of Cape Cod. These maps (plates 8,9,12) are hard to find as a set and might make an interesting wall display of Cape Cod.
