After graduating I had a very short teaching career at a 766 school, While teaching I developed a course outline on "History as Therapy" - which was directed toward integrating history with family biography and helping students explore their physical world. I spent the next couple of years working at a social action agency and managing a weekly film program.
In 1972 I went back to school and got an MBA from Boston University with a concentration in finance and health care. I took advantage of an early retirement program a couple of years ago and started Community Heritage Maps .
More than ever before in order for our lives to have meaning it is important that we celebrate the history of our homes and communities. I had for a long time been aware of the wonderful city atlas maps that were printed from 1860 to 1930 and felt that I could satisfy a desire to connect with our communities by providing faithful replicas of these beautiful maps. The replica maps are printed to fine arts textured paper to maintain their original tones.
